The IBCA raises funds by selling fireworks in July, holding Shred Day events in May, and membership dues paid by local businesses and community members.

These funds are used to advertise Ione, generally, through print ads, social media, and community events that draw visitors to Ione. Some of these events are Harvest Fair, Trick-or-Treat, Hometown Christmas, holiday decorations, and parades.

A large percentage of the funds are awarded to civic groups and individuals via our Grant Program. Ione community members or civic groups are encouraged to submit an application for consideration.
